SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – SRQ VETS is hosting the 9th annual Memorial Day 5K on Saturday, May 25 to honor fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives.
The event hopes to unite local veterans and communities while raising money to support SRQ VETS to support local veterans through finding recourses and delivering them to local veterans and their families.
The 5K hike started at JD Hamel War Memorial Park, went over the Ringling Bride, then back to the park for afternoon festivities.
