Caring for Communities

Hapori

Hapori means community, kinship & Coming together for a common cause that we intend to create meaningful impact in our communities.

Our Hapori Programme operates across 11 regions in New Zealand. We have partnered with Trees for Survival and Community Foundations New Zealand to collectively make an impact across regional New Zealand.

We offer support to community groups through

  • Cash funding
  • Donations of dairy product
  • Access to resources like volunteering, use of marquees, use of BBQ’s

Fonterra works with each of the local foundations on local causes & projects to ensure funding has an impact for the long term.

Fonterra also partners with Trees for Survival who work with over 150 schools & local communities to grow & plant native trees along waterways & on erosion prone hillsides. In 2022 we planted 2252 native plants. To learn more about Trees for Survival click here

Our Regional Hapori committees meet every month to review applications, if you would like to submit an application please complete this form & submit it to [email protected]

Our Funding fits into 3 key pillars:

  1. Putting good quality nutrition in the hands of those who need it most
  2. Protecting & regenerating the environment
  3. Keeping our Communities strong
