Dunfermline Athletic manager Allan Johnston: “We started the game really well, looked by far the better team, should win it quite comfortably, but we could hear the crowd getting nervy.
“We should see the game out, but its the basics, just doing your job. It’s criminal when it happens.
“We deserved to win the game. You can see the confidence in the team, but that’s a big blow tonight.”
Alloa Athletic manager Jim Goodwin: “We weren’t at the races at all in the first half. I managed to tweak the formation at half-time and stress the importance of the next goal – I knew, if we did that, we were capable of the equaliser.
“Once we tweaked the midfield and gave us an extra body, it denied them the space.
“Our players never know when they’re beaten – they deserve so much credit for that togetherness and team spirit.
“Everybody wrote us off before a ball was kicked. We’ve given ourselves a fighting chance, but if we stay in the league it will be an unbelievable achievement.”
