DEDEDO, Guam—Sakai Liberal High School students from Osaka, Japan are set to captivate audiences at the Micronesia Mall Center Court on Saturday, June 22, 2024, starting at 11am with a Friendship Concert. This special event will feature dynamic dance, song, and band performances, showcasing the students’ talents and celebrating Japanese culture.

Sakai Liberal High School stands out in Japan for its unique focus on expression education, dedicated to nurturing self-expression and communication skills through various art forms including dance, acting, and musical instruments. The school’s visit to Guam marks an exciting opportunity for cultural exchange, as over 40 students at this girls-only school will share their cultural heritage and artistic prowess with the local community.

All are invited to join us in welcoming these talented students to Guam. These students are excited to showcase what they’ve been learning at their unique school, expression education.

Their school understands the importance of expression through the arts and humanities. We invite you to take a peek at a different kind of curriculum that nurtures these types of skills to create confident, well-spoken and expressive females who will become future artists, teachers, and leaders.

The event promises to be a highlight in Guam’s cultural calendar, offering residents and visitors alike a chance to experience the beauty of Japanese performing arts while fostering international friendships. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to witness the creativity and cultural pride of Sakai Liberal High School students.
