Mission Statement
The mission of the Student-Athlete Services Department is to implement and provide services that support students academically, enhance student-athlete skills for the future, focus on student-athlete well-being, and celebrate student-athlete success. The design of these services and programs will recognize the importance of a culturally diverse and inclusive environment; and are to be congruent with the institution’s educational mission and its academic policies and procedures.

Staff
The Student-Athlete Services program is staffed by six full-time academic counselors, including Directors for the Student-Athlete Development and Specialized Learning programs, post-graduate interns, and approximately 75 academic tutors and support staff.
Each team is assigned an academic counselor who is responsible for contact with designated student athletes, supervision of tutorial services, administration of the team’s study sessions and monitoring the student’s academic progress. Each counselor works with their students in utilizing program resources, University services, and the academic advising required by their School, College or major department.
