Dr. Venetia Green is a woman whose commitment to service spans more than four decades and two distinguished careers. A retired Air Force veteran with 22 years of military service and 18 years as a civilian program manager for the Department of Defense, Dr. Green has built a reputation as a powerhouse of precision, passion, and purpose. Her influence is not just measured in the 1,750 manpower positions she’s helped validate or the 60+ programs she manages—it’s in the countless lives she’s touched through unwavering leadership and heartfelt community service.

When asked about the values that have shaped her journey, Dr. Green points to consistency, service, and excellence. “These principles were forged in the military and refined through community engagement,” she shares. Indeed, her work with the American Legion, Special Olympics, and initiatives like blessing packages for shut-in veterans are proof that her dedication runs deep.

A defining moment in Dr. Green’s career came when she stepped into a key manpower role within AFLCMC/DP, helping multiple directorates fill critical workforce gaps. “Complex problems require integrated analysis, and I thrive where there are challenges,” she explains. That mindset allowed her to complete nearly 30 manpower-related projects in one year—impacting close to 500 positions and strengthening the Department of the Air Force’s mission capabilities.

Even amidst her many professional responsibilities, Dr. Green finds balance by remaining actively involved in local events, veteran outreach, and youth mentorship programs. “Community has always grounded me,” she says. “Whether it’s organizing holiday food drives or judging science fairs, I find joy in lifting others.”

Reflecting on her legacy, Dr. Green says, “I want to be remembered as someone who showed up for both country and community.” With every program she manages and every life she touches, Dr. Venetia Green leaves a legacy of excellence worth honoring.

Dr. Venetia Green is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and seasoned Department of Defense Program Manager with over 40 years of dedicated public service. Her current role supports the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center in manpower analysis, validation, and strategic planning across multiple directorates. She holds a Master’s in Joint Warfare from Air Command and Staff College, a Bachelor’s in Management/Human Resources, and two associate degrees from the Community College of the Air Force. Beyond her professional work, Dr. Green has led impactful community initiatives with the American Legion and Special Olympics, supporting veterans, youth, and underserved families. Her unwavering commitment to national service, mentorship, and operational excellence makes her a true force of leadership and compassion.
