Marshall Center to Host Free Leadership Camp for High School Students | News

The George C. Marshall International Center will host a free summer leadership camp for rising high school juniors and seniors June 24-26.

Camp Marshall will combine lessons from George C. Marshall, outdoor team-building activities including scavenger hunts, “Choose Your Own Adventure,” team projects and more, according to an announcement.

“General George Marshall knew that the future of our nation and our world depended on our young people,” Marshall Center Executive Director Valérie Beaudoin said. “We are eager to share his example with emerging high school leaders, who can shape our world for the better, and to have some fun along the way.”

Camp Marshall is designed for high school students who are preparing to lead clubs, serve as captains of their sports teams or run for student government.

Space is limited, interested students are encouraged to sign up today by going to georgecmarshall.org.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Dodona Manor in Leesburg. All meals will be provided.

Camp Marshall builds on the Marshall Center’s Five Star Character Ethical Leadership Conference program for high school juniors and seniors, which is hosted by the Center each fall, winter and spring. Registration is also open for the May 10-11 edition of this free conference.
