Indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia, who won the festival’s best documentary prize in 2021, debuted “All We Imagine As Light,” while debut filmmaker Agathe Riedinger’s “Wild Diamond” was also in competition. Significant announcements included Saudi Arabia’s first film at the festival, Tawfik Alzaidi’s “Norah,” and Noémie Merlant’s second feature, “The Balconettes,” screened as a midnight movie. Cate Blanchett starred in “Rumours,” a satirical feature by Evan Johnson, Galen Johnson, and Guy Maddin.
