Councillor Stuart Henley organises the event which saw dignitaries place wreaths at ‘The Shell’ in memory of fallen heroes.
The event has been a tradition since the installation of ‘The Shell in 2018.

Cllr Henley said there was an “impressive turnout” to this year’s event which was attended by Deputy Lieutenant John Wood, Mayor of Dudley Councillor Andrea Goddard, Halesowen and Rowley Regis MP James Morris, representatives from Halesowen Police, and Dudley councillors.

He issued a “heartfelt thank you” to all those who turned out and he said: “The atmosphere was filled with reverence and gratitude as the community gathered to pay homage to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
“The service, marked by poignant moments, was a touching tribute to our heroes.”
He added: “Despite a minor sound hiccup, the sincerity of the occasion was not overshadowed. Rest assured, plans are underway to address this for next year’s event, ensuring an even more seamless experience.”
