SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—Local non-profit Loving Little Ones, dedicated to helping the displaced and underserved, will host a ‘Pop-up Shelter’ event that will provide hot meals, clothes, medical services, and more.
Loving Little Ones (LLO) invites the Shreveport and Bossier City communities and local businesses to participate to help displaced individuals and families access essential resources during the one-day event.
According to the news release, in 2019, the ‘Pop Up Shelter’ provided aid for over 450 households. The non-profit provides fundamental resources to the vulnerable, including shelter and housing assistance, health and wealth services, employment training, legal aid, and more.
On Wednesday, May 29th, LLO will host a ‘Volunteer And Resource Provider Meeting’ at Orlandeauxs Cafe at 6 p.m. for interested sponsors and individuals.
‘This achievement was made possible through the tremendous generosity of local businesses, organizations, families, and individuals who selflessly dedicated their time and resources to serve those in need.’
LLO is seeking sponsors, volunteers, and individuals who can provide resources for registering for the inaugural Pop-Up Shelter event on July 26th and 27th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to the website, ‘being a sponsor of The Pop-Up Shelter helps to defray the cost of organizing the event’ and showcases their commitment to the Shreveport-Bossier community.
The Pop-Up Shelter will be located at the Louisiana State Fair Grounds.
Loving Little Ones also runs a summer camp called ‘Camp 318‘ for educational resources and activities for children ages 4 – 13 years of age.
Victor L. Thomas, chairman of the 2024 Pop-Up Shelter, encourages interested parties to contact him at (318)639-4325.
