World Champion Boxer Jahmal Harvey Makes History Yet Again by Securing a Spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics


Pan American games have been a spectacle for USA’s boxing fans not only because of legendary boxers but also their exceptionally skilled performances in the ring. Similarly, Team USA’s youngest boxer to fight for gold has made it to the spotlight. Once again, the boxing legend is etching his name in the annals of history.

It is Jahmal Harvey, a boxing pugilist boasting an impressive record of National Junior Olympics, Elite National Championships, Emil Jechev Memorial Tournament, World Championships and much more. In addition to this, he has once again made a historic achievement by qualifying for the upcoming Olympics.

At the mere age of 19 years, Jahmal Harvey, often called Hardrock, is a National Junior Olympian and 2020 Olympian. Eventually, he also qualified for the Upcoming Paris Olympics 2024. A recent tweet by Team USA was captioned as, “PARIS PUNCHED, HarveyJahmal is the first male Team USA boxer to qualify for Paris2024.”

In the ongoing Pan American Games, Jahmal Harvey not only made it to secure a spot at the Semifinal match but also got a ticket to the Paris Olympics 2024. Fortunately, he also became the first Male Boxer from Team USA to clinch an Olympic spot. He accomplished this remarkable achievement by defeating Do Nascimento Chalot Oliveira Luiz Gabriel in the semifinal match. 

As soon as Jahmal entered the boxing ring, he was ready to defeat the Brazilian boxer. Although team Brazil gave a tough competition to Jahmal, he made it difficult for the opponent to survive in the boxing ring. He not only emerged victorious in the Pan American Games semifinal match but also achieved a remarkable score of 5-0 in the 57kg bout. 

Where does the USA’s Boxing Team Stand at the Pan American Games?

As Jahmal emerged victorious in the semifinal match, he will be competing for the gold medal at the Pan American Games this Friday. In the final match, he will be fighting against Horta Rodriguez Del Rey Saidel Iván. By winning the gold medal bout, Jahmal will not only clinch the Pan American Games title but also will be adding another gold to the collection of Team USA.

Even though many athletes from Team USA will be competing in the final rounds, the team stands in the first position in the tournament. In addition, team USA’s five legendary boxers, including two fighting for final bouts, have secured the Olympics spot in Paris.
