MARIETTA — A crowd gathered together in May to celebrate an organization that has been helping Washington County residents for 50 years.

The Marietta Community Foundation hosted a 50th anniversary celebration at the Adelphia Music Hall on the evening of May 30 and it was attended by community leaders, donors, volunteers and residents to honor 50 years of philanthropic work in Washington County, according to an MCF release.

MCF CEO Heather Allender led the event and highlighted MCF’s mission and goals for the future, according to the release.

“A community is a sum of many parts, and every day our individual actions contribute to our collective future,” Allender said.
