Winter Park couple Anthony and Sonya Nicholson have been involved with the University of Central Florida for years, both previously serving on the board of trustees and major benefactors to the institution.
In return, the school named its Nicholson School of Communication and later, the Nicholson Fieldhouse, after them. The School of Communication was the very first UCF program or building to be named after someone.
The couple’s philanthropic efforts don’t stop at UCF. The Florida Hospital’s Nicholson Center was also named after them, following their $5 million donation to the buildout.
Now, the Nicholson’s waterfront Winter Park home has hit the market for $8,000,000.
Located at 1400 Alabama Drive, the Italian-style home has four bedrooms and seven bathrooms, plus a detached guest house with its own bedroom and bathroom. The home features an entertainment or media room, a sprawling kitchen and several balconies.
Outside, there’s a private courtyard, heated pool and spa, covered porch, grill, several terraces and a Tesla charging station.
