Celebrate Earth Days by protecting our environment – City of Mississauga

We’re celebrating Earth Days from April 4-May 11 with a series of virtual and in-person events including tree plantings, art exhibitions, park clean-ups, clothing donations, repair hub and more.

Looking for ways to make a positive impact on the environment this spring? Earth Day is Monday, April 22 and Mississauga joins cities across the world to recognize and celebrate Earth Days, and you can be a part of it too. For Mississauga’s 50th anniversary, the City is recognizing and celebrating Earth Days through a series of virtual and in-person events from Thursday, April 4 to Saturday, May 11, and there’s something for everyone.

You can participate in planting trees, come out to an art exhibition or enjoy the Earth Day event at the Hazel McCallion Library. By attending these events, you will not only have a great time but also learn how to take action to help protect our environment while making Mississauga more resilient to our changing climate.

So, mark your calendars and be a part of the celebration to do our part to fight climate change.

It’s a strong reminder that we all have a responsibility to protect our planet by making positive changes in our daily lives that can have a significant impact on the environment.

By participating in Earth Days activities, we can learn about sustainable practices, reduce our carbon footprint and work towards a healthier, greener future for ourselves and generations to come. This April, come out and learn ways to take action for the environment and contribute towards making our city more sustainable and climate change resilient.
