Reid, who won silver in the long jump at the London 2012 Paralympics, won $15,000 (£8,760) for her achievement.
“It was hard for me because I set the record in the first round and I wanted to celebrate but still had five rounds left,” Reid told BBC Sport afterwards.
“It was amazing – coming out, it felt like London 2012 again and the crowd were great.
“Last year was so hard after the Paralympics and I don’t think I have jumped so poorly but I knew I could go further and now I am so glad I stayed in the sport.”
Wheelchair racer David Weir also won his T53/54 1,500m event as he continued his preparation for racing for England over the same distance at the Commonwealth Games.
The four-time London gold medallist eased to victory in three minutes 8.78 seconds with Japan’s Masayuki Higuchi second (3:09.70)
“I wanted to come here to see what the track and crowd were like before the Commonwealth Games and everything looks great,” he said.
