Jessica Ennis discusses British record from ice bath

Jessica Ennis recovers in an ice bath after setting a new British heptathlon record in Austria with 6,906 points, stating she hopes the achievement will “sink in” when she returns to the UK.

The Sheffield athlete is thankful all the events “came together”, and tells BBC Sport her focus is “all about the Olympics now”.

Ennis’s score beats the previous British best of 6,831, set by former Olympic champion Denise Lewis in 2000.
