FULTON – Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School held its 42nd Annual Academic Awards honoring the academic achievements of more than 220 students in grades 9 through 12 throughout the 2023-2024 school year.

The ceremony opened with words from principal Nathan Murray and a singing of the national anthem by members of the school’s Concert Choir. Awards were distributed by Assistant Principals Tracy Richards and Amy Stephenson, school faculty and members of the Fulton community. Course-based academic awards were given out alongside community awards and hundreds of thousands of dollars in college scholarships.

“Our students have worked so hard to achieve honors and academic excellence,” said Murray. “The staff at G. Ray Bodley have observed them on the fields and courts, on the stage and in the classroom, dedicating themselves to constantly doing their best.”

Each of the 228 students recognized received honorary certificates. Some earned additional scholarships, prizes, and monetary awards.
