Ranked among the top 100 engineering programmes in the world, this MSc covers mechanical engineering tools, problem-solving techniques, formulation of experimental data, and many other real-world applications. These equip students with the ability to make informed judgements about different mechanical engineering problems.
There is 24-hour access to the university’s library, advanced laboratories, and dedicated postgraduate work rooms for students to work in. The programme also takes learning beyond campus, via an industry placement or project with some of the leading mechanical engineering companies here. Since the programme has close ties with Tata Steel and Ford and has worked with AstraZeneca, British Aerospace, QinretiQ, GKN, Rolls-Royce, SKF, Freeport-McMoRan, ONESTEEL, and Barrick Gold Corporation, students have plenty of choices and assistance for their industry placement or project.
